Erika Clary (Brunswick)

Erika Clary graduated from Brunswick High School with highest honors and is attending Bridgewater College in order to obtain a degree in both Mathematics and Computer Science. In high school, Erika was a very active member of National Honor Society, serving as social media coordinator and volunteering many hours at local elementary schools. She also took part in Random Acts of Kindness and Rachel’s Challenge, both of which help to spread optimism and love for one another throughout the school and the community. In her senior year, she was a member of the Championship Winning Academic Team. In her free time, Erika took dance classes for 14 years, and loves to watch the Baltimore Orioles and participate in anything that involves Disney or Disney World. Erika is extremely involved in her church at a local and a denominational level. In the future, Erika aspires to become an Operations Research Analyst.

 

Evan Joseph (Middletown)

 

Joshua Woozley (Middletown)

Josh Woozley graduated from Middletown High School in 2017 with high honors. Josh was a member of the National and English Honors Society, a MVAA U9 soccer coach, and the senior captain of the varsity soccer team. Josh helped his team win two consecutive state championship titles, a Middletown record. Josh will attend Salisbury University to earn his Masters in Business Administration and continue his soccer career at the collegiate level. Go Gulls!

 

Katie Stottlemyer (Middletown)

Katie grew up in Wolfsville, MD and graduated with highest honors from Middletown High School in 2017. She was a member of the National Honor Society and served as Secretary her senior year. Katie played on the soccer, basketball and lacrosse teams throughout her high school career. She was named captain for all three sports in her senior year. Katie is attending Messiah College and is a member of the Women’s Lacrosse team. She is majoring in Mathematics and Secondary Education to become a high school teacher.

 

Maybelin Cruz (Catoctin)

Maybelin Orellana Cruz graduated from Catoctin High school. She went to CTC for the nursing program and obtained her Geriatrics Nursing Assistant license her senior year. She was also a SKillsUSA chapter officer. FFA has been a big part of her life. She has been involved in many community service events. She became the Thurmont Community Show Ambassador this past Fall. While being apart of 4 different honor societies and many clubs, Maybelin played 1st doubles in the tennis team and became captain. She loves working with the special needs kids at her school. She played all 3 Unified sports and coached/managed the unified tennis team in the Fall. Last summer, she gained acceptance to a doctor program where she learned many surgical and doctor related skills. Maybelin will be majoring in biology pre-medical at Mercyhurst University to become a pediatrician to continue to work with special needs kids.

 

Thomas Morris (Middletown)

Thomas Morris graduated from Middletown High School in May of 2017, and will be attending Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA where he will major in Health Services Administration, and plans to minor in pre-law. After earning his Master’s Degree in Health Services, Thomas would like to serve as a hospital or nursing home administrator. While attending MHS, Thomas was a member of several honor societies including those for English, Math, Science, and served as the President of the National Honor Society during his senior year. Thomas was also very active in the music department at MHS and served as Drum Major for the Marching Knights during their 2016 season. Outside of school, Thomas has sung with the Frederick Children’s Chorus and later the Frederick Chamber Singers for nine years, and also serves as a Cantor at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. Thomas has also been an active volunteer at Homewood at Frederick Retirement Community, and will be working in the Dietary Department at Homewood over the summer. While at Drexel, Thomas will sing with the Drexel Chamber Singers, and also looks forward to taking part in Drexel’s Student Government Association, Model United Nations Team, as well as the Newman Catholic Center located on campus.
