As a member of the Middletown Knights Football Team all four years, as well as Track & Field and FCA, Jake is extremely proud and humbled to be a Knight and credits much of his success to the coaches who taught him about honor, discipline, hard work and stepping-up to adversity. As a person who worked diligently to overcome many of his own challenges with autism, Jake volunteers with younger kids on the autism spectrum to teach them sports, learning strategies and social tips that have helped him to achieve his goals. Jake is now a freshman attending Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Indiana, where he is studying Software Engineering so that he can one day develop programs to help kids with autism learn. Jake pledged Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike), is a staff illustrator for his college newspaper, and enjoys clubs like Improv, FCA and Christian Intervarsity.
